How do I become a ZAMNAI member?
To become a member of ZAMNAI, you need to fill out an application form and pay the required membership fee. The application must be approved by the Membership Committee. If you are an honorary member, you do not need to apply.
How much does it cost to become a member?
Renewable Membership:
Individual: $30.00 (payable every two years)
Family: $75.00 (payable every two years for family registration with children under 18)
Lifetime Membership:
Individual: $150.00 (one-time fee)
Family: $300.00 (one-time fee for family registration with children under 18)
Additionally, if you choose to have a membership identification card, first issuance is issued for free, however replacements shall cost $15.00 per issuance.
There are optional, but encouraged to be added on your contribution, such as the annual Helping Hands contribution, which is $20.00 for individuals and $40.00 for families.
What are the benefits of joining ZAMNAI?
Benefits of joining ZAMNAI include:
Fellowship and cooperation with fellow members who share ancestral roots from Zamboanga del Norte.
Moral support and spiritual assistance when needed.
Participation in community development through charitable programs.
Access to a membership card and a copy of the Constitution and By-Laws.
Can individuals who are not from or have no roots in the Province of Zamboanga del Norte join ZAMNAI?
No, ZAMNAI is specifically for Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, or individuals of Filipino ancestry who have roots from the Province of Zamboanga del Norte.
What happens when my membership expires?
If you fail to renew your membership by the end of your two-year term (for renewable members), you will be deemed a non-member, and your affiliation with ZAMNAI will be terminated.
What is the difference between the membership fee and helping hands fee?
The membership fee is a payment required for joining or renewing your ZAMNAI membership, either as a renewable or lifetime member. The Helping Hands fee is an annual contribution intended to provide support to members in times of sickness or death. Both fees are separate and serve different purposes.
How do I renew my membership?
To renew your ZAMNAI membership, follow these steps:
Check Renewal Eligibility: Ensure that you are within the renewal period (typically every two years for renewable members).
Payment of Fees: Pay the applicable renewal fee based on your membership category:
Individual: $30.00 for renewable membership.
Family: $75.00 for family registration with children under 18.
Submit Payment: You can make your payment via Zelle or by mailing a check. If using Zelle, send your payment to +1 847 858 9656. If paying by check, make it payable to the Zamboanga del Norte Association of Illinois and mail it to:
Complete Any Required Forms: If necessary, fill out any forms required for renewal.
Confirm Renewal: After payment and any required documentation are submitted, check in with the Membership Committee to confirm that your membership has been renewed.
Make sure to renew before the end of your membership term to avoid lapsing into non-member status.
